Photoshoot My Bluff

Here is an exclusive ‘sneak peek’ at some of the images from my first ever photoshoot.

This week I was asked by a photographer to produce a glamourous fashion makeup, and a 1960s inspired makeup for his photoshoot.

Here’s a look at some of the proof images I was sent.

Fashion Makeup

This makeup allowed me free reign to do whatever I wanted, and I was inspired by a new Illamasqua Pigment called Fervent. The pigment is a REDDISH BROWN WITH BLUE, GREEN AND SILVER SHIMMER, so I decided to use a triadic colour palette and pair it with a deep rich plum on the waterline and a deep emerald teal green on the lower lash line. I think this colour combination on the eyes, with a beautiful bronzed base made the models eyes look powerful and mesmerising.

A Scarecrow Standing In the Fields of Fashion

EXCLUSIVE LOOK AT MY PORTFOLIO WORK.

For my last week of this semester I designed this creative hair and makeup for a fashion assessment at university. This design was inspired by the Scarecrow from the Wizard of Oz. I heavily researched the character, along with how to produce extremely powerful creative hair and makeup looks, and this is what I came up with. My inspiration came from the scarecrow, a crows nest, the rain, straw, hessian and a Guy Fawkes dummy.

Here are my images of the creative hair and makeup that I designed:

Elevator to Heaven

The 2015 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show was filmed in New York last month at the Lexington Avenue Armory, and last night after an extremely patient wait, we all finally got the chance to watch it!

Did all your favourite Angels show up for the big event?

The Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show is viewed by 500 million people in some 158 countries. Forty-seven fabulous models decked out in 75 different looks strutted the catwalk in front of a star-studded crowd. Victoria’s Secret features dozens of different models in its annual show but only anoints a select few Angels retained on contract per year and before they can walk in the show, models must undergo rigorous auditions to ensure they not only look unnaturally fit but also embody the brand’s girl-next-door persona.

Like all good fashion shows, the event started 45 minutes late opening with Angel Behati Prinsloo.

KENDALL jenner soon followed for what was her victoria’s secret debut and APPEARED IN HER FIRST “BOHO PYSCHEDELIC” LOOK, WHICH INCLUDED A “VERY SEXY LACE AND FISHNET STRAPPY RING-BACK THONG”- ACCORDING TO THE SHOW’S HANDOUTS – before sashaying down the runway in a pale blue diamante number. it was her appearance that rendered the crowd’s first eruption of cheer beyond polite clapping.

I Moustache, What is your fortune?

AN EXCLUSIVE LOOK AT THE CHARACTER WORK IN MY PORTFOLIO.

For my first semester of second year at university, I designed this fortune teller wizard character for a media makeup assessment. My character had to be based on the Wizard or Professor Marvel from the Wizard of Oz! I used both characters from Frank.L Baum’s book as inspiration because Professor Marvel is a fortune teller, and the Wizard ultimately determines Dorothy and her friends fortunes.

This assessment introduced me to the immense world of postiche, and WOW do I respect the patience and talent of people in that profession. I handmade the moustache for my character, and it literally took days to do!

Here are my images of my character:
